MANs FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT

Impact of London, part of the Impact Group plc, in West Ealing, has taken delivery of three MAN R33 360 Noge Catalan ‘Tourings’. The delivery underlines MAN’s commitment to Noge customers following the company’s entry into administration last month.

MAN is also supplying on-site technical training courses for Impact, through classroom and practical workshop instruction. Training courses are offered free-of-charge to all new MAN and NEOPLAN customers.

The 12-metre chassis feature 360bhp MAN ‘Add Nothing’ EGR engines, MAN TipMatic automated transmission, 51/53 seats and a demountable washroom.

“We’ve had an initial 330bhp MAN Noge Catalan on trial over the last 18 months,” said Tony Hill, Managing Director at Impact, “and I must say that MAN has stolen a march over its competitors when it comes to building coaches. MAN is, today, the leading exponent of commercial vehicle technology, and for us, it seems to be the only manufacturer on which we can rely at the present.”

He continued, “Top of the shopping list was MAN’s no AdBlue engine technology. We’ve been forced to use AdBlue previously, and we are keen to do without. MAN offers similar, if not better, productivity, so, surely it’s a no brainer.”

Impact of London offers midibus, minicoach and touring coach hire, alongside hire and scheduled service operations for local schools. The company’s fleet is equipped with disabled access.
